TUFFA Country Rider Boot
These are Andrea’s favourite boots – she wears them pretty much all the time, sometimes even to the pub!
They are perfect for winter weather, and particularly comfortable. They have a ‘nu-buck’ leather upper which is water-repellant, a genuinely tough rubber sole, and a ‘treat yourself’ sheepskin lining. Andrea doesn’t think there are any better winter boots in the world.
One thing you’ll want to be aware of – they always seem to come a little on the large size, so we’d recommend choosing a half-size (or even a full size) less than you normally wear.

TUFFA Suffolk Boot
I’m actually wearing a pair of these as I write this!
They’re particularly brilliant if you’ve got wider calves (if you’re about a size 14 or so) – you can wear them with jeans, you can wear them with joddies – the broad-leg fittings here are probably the best thing available if you’ve got wider calves.
They give you great protection on the inside of your calf when you’re riding – they give a really good inside leg contact, which is very important indeed – and it only takes about a day to break them in, the leather is so soft.
Some boots just never break in properly – you can be walking around for days as though you’re still sat on a horse! A lot of showboots are like that – but these Tuffa Suffolk boots are the exact opposite. What’s more, they’re really warm, with lovely snug sheepskin around the feet.
In fact, you don’t need to be a horse rider to wear these at all – they’re really trendy, and they look great with jeans. I’ve got a friend who doesn’t go anywhere near horses – she’s an archaeologist! – but she wears these all the time when she goes on site. The cut is really flattering, too – they don’t make you look as if you’ve got big legs!
And the straps on the side adjust to your calf size – so if you’re lucky enough to have slim calves, these boots will be just as gorgeous for you…:-)
As with some other Tuffa boots, I think you should probably order about a half-size less than you would normally take.
